Former Bengal State Education Secretary Interrogated by CBI in School Jobs Recruitment Probe

On Saturday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted an interrogation of Dushyant Nariala, the former West Bengal education secretary, as part of their ongoing investigation into the multi-crore school jobs recruitment case in the state.
Notably, Manish Jain, the current Education Secretary, has already undergone questioning by the CBI twice in connection with the same matter. Additionally, Jain has been named as a witness in a chargesheet submitted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is concurrently investigating the case.

Dushyant Nariala held the esteemed position of state education secretary from 2016 to 2018. During the course of the interrogation, he was probed about the recruitment procedures employed by the department during his tenure.
Moreover, it was brought to light that Nariala faced inquiries about any potential instructions he might have received from the former state education minister, Partha Chatterjee, who is presently in judicial custody due to his alleged involvement in the school recruitment case. Nariala firmly denied having received any instructions from Chatterjee pertaining to the matter.
The investigation continues as the authorities diligently seek to unravel the intricacies of this complex case involving school jobs recruitment, and former key officials are being closely scrutinized to shed light on the matter.
